I would ask for some volunteers and I would stand them up on one side without the board there. I would ask them to jump as far as they could and see if they could make it to the other side. No one has done it yet, it is just too far. Likewise no one has been able to save themself. It does not matter how many good deeds we do, how many times we go to Church, help elderly ladies across the street, or are actively involved in any relgious system it will never be able to save us. The only way to get rid of sin is to have it payed for and only Jesus is able to pay such a high price.

Then I put the board across and tell them how Jesus died in our place and how because He never sinned He is able to give a perfect sarcrifice and so His death can pay for our sins. Then I stand on one side of the board and ask one of them to jump onto my back. I ask the camper if he/she trusts me. Likewise we need to trust Christ and He will carry us from one side to the other.
